If you sell on Shopify and ship with multiple carriers, linking your store to OrderNXT gives you one clean workflow for labels, pickups, tracking, and returns. This guide walks you through two easy connection methods, what gets synced, and a few best-practice tips to keep data accurate and operations fast.

What syncing with OrderNXT gives you

  • Two-way sync for orders, products, and contacts

  • Automatic backfill of recent orders so you can start shipping right away

  • Live status updates (e.g., fulfillment + tracking written back to Shopify)

  • Hands-off operations: label presets, scheduled pickups, branded returns—powered by the data coming from Shopify

Method 1 — Connect via Shopify App Store (quickest)

  1. Open the app page
Visit the Shopify App Store and open our listing:
    https://apps.shopify.com/shipnxt-app

  2. Add the app
Click Add app and confirm the installation for the correct Shopify store.

  3. Account step

    • Already have an OrderNXT account? If you’re signed in, the connection completes automatically.

    • New to OrderNXT? You’ll be prompted to create an OrderNXT account first—then we finalize the connection.

  4. Verify in OrderNXT
Go to Shops in OrderNXT. You’ll see your Shopify store listed as Connected with a Last sync timestamp.

  5. Ship immediately
Turn on auto-sync (if not enabled by default), run an initial Manual Sync to backfill recent orders, and start printing labels.

Method 2 — Connect from the OrderNXT “Shops” menu

This route is perfect if you’re already in OrderNXT and want to add another Shopify store.

  1. Open: Shops → Connect new shop

  2. Choose Shopify (click the Shopify logo).

  3. Enter details:

    • Integration name/title (so your team recognizes the connection)

    • Store URL (e.g., yourstore.myshopify.com)

  4. Authorize
You’ll be redirected to Shopify to approve access. Confirm, and you’ll land back in OrderNXT.

  5. Confirm & Sync
In Shops, you can see Last sync, click Manual Sync, Pause/Resume auto-sync, and review connection health.

What gets synced (and how you control it)

  • Orders: line items, addresses, customer details, notes/tags, fulfillment status

  • Products: titles, SKUs/variants, weights/dimensions (used for accurate labels)

  • Contacts: customers saved to your address book for faster repeat shipping

Controls you’ll find in Shops

  • Last sync timestamp for quick health checks

  • Manual Sync to pull updates on demand

  • Pause/Resume to temporarily stop syncing

  • Optional filters (e.g., import only paid orders, or a date window) depending on your plan

Best-practice tips for a clean, reliable sync

  1. Use unique SKUs per variant in Shopify. It keeps labels and inventory precise.

  2. Normalize addresses in OrderNXT to reduce “invalid address” label errors.

  3. Watch first-day exceptions: fix missing weights/dimensions or odd tags, then everything runs on autopilot.

  4. Two-way status: let OrderNXT write back fulfillment + tracking so your customers get updates without extra steps.

Troubleshooting (quick answers)

  • “Store doesn’t appear in Shops.”
Please contact with us and we will guide you as soon as possible

  • “Wrong store was connected.”
Remove the app from that store, then repeat the install for the correct domain (or connect via Shops → Connect new shop).

  • “Data is not up to date.”
Check Last sync in Shops and click Manual Sync. If paused, Resume syncing.

  • “Can I connect multiple Shopify stores?”
Yes—repeat either method for each store. Give each connection a clear Integration name.

  • “Can I pause syncing?”
Yes—use Pause/Resume in Shops. You can always run a Manual Sync later.
